Agilent 240FS AA – Fast Sequential Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
The Agilent 240FS AA is a Fast Sequential atomic absorption spectrometer that can double sample throughput and dramatically reduce running costs. Able to handle multi-element suites with ease, the Agilent 240FS AA system is ideal for environmental, food, and agriculture labs. The 240FS AA features automatic lamp selection, programmable gas box, and D2 background correction.
Fast Sequential Mode
Fast Sequential (FS) mode on Agilent 240FS and 280FS AA instruments simplifies flame AA analysis, saves time, and reduces gas consumption. FS mode changes the analysis sequence to measure elements in the same aspiration, rather than only one element at a time in conventional AA, improving workflow efficiency.
Agilent 240FS and 280FS AA systems have built-in technology making FS mode possible without add-on accessories. It is possible to measure 10 elements in under 2 minutes, with only 10 mL of sample.
Save Time with PROMT
Agilent’s 240FS and 280FS AA systems feature Precision Optimized Measurement Time (PROMT) mode, allowing the operator to set the desired precision level for sample results. Sample read time is optimized:
- High concentration elements require less time.
- Low concentration elements require more time for the same precision.
This increases throughput, prevents wasted time, and reduces costly gas consumption without compromising precision.
Increase Productivity with SIPS
Agilent’s Sample Introduction Pump Systems (SIPS) automates sample preparation, increasing productivity, reducing labor, and improving workflow for flame AAS analysis.
- SIPS 10: Accurately and automatically prepares calibration standards from a single stock. Performs in-line dilution (prescribed and over-range) up to 200× with <2% RSD.
- SIPS 20: Extends capability by automating standard addition, modifiers, or internal standard solutions.
